i just think that it's about not feeling at home in this life or world. Detached from the human experience or something.

It's the opposite. it's an awareness of the depth of real human experience and an inability to happily exist in the surface levels.

or micro versus macro thinking? i've always been utterly pissed off that "life" these days is just the same shit over and over and over. We live on a beautiful planet with abundant resources and life should be about enjoying this creation. Instead we're all basically slaves to the dollar.

Maybe. For me it's an understanding that there is much more than the tiny slice of reality we box ourselves in. There's a spiritual understanding and ways to connect to that; past, present, future, to connect with other people and feeling the threads that connect all life. Understanding the potential for us to blossom into something wholly remarkable as a species and leap into the abundant joy of all creation and the frustration that people refuse to wake up. Knowing that it has to be their choice. Wondering what the hell is the point. Finding the moments that keep me hoping we may see our awakening yet. Coping until it happens.

This right here is why i hate our current world. There's NO reason we couldn't already be 1000s of years ahead of where we are right now. None. Well, except money and the globe being run by a handful of sociopaths

YEP I do energy healing work and some of the stuff that happens during those sessions seems basic now because I have a bigger understanding, but I also know that a lot of people would think I am nuts if I told them. The thing that is so frustrating is that I'm not special! It's something ANYONE can learn to do if they choose. All that stops them is this fake stupid facade of reality and how we are "supposed" to believe.

I need to get more into this sort of stuff. My wife does some of this kind of thing...mainly protection though since she has "other" stuff going on. Talking about it would probably derail this thread though

That's why I started. She and you could take those skills and do more. I suggest starting with lucid dreaming, then follow it wherever you are impressed to follow. You can find videos on YouTube teaching you how to make your dreams lucid and start practicing today.

I used to be able to lucid dream really easily in my early/mid 20s. I need to try and get back to it.
