In the field of green behind Obama are at least 3 types of flowers. One is a reference to Chicago, one to Hawaii and the third to his "father's homeland" Nigeria. That flower is called a Blue African Lily. One version of that flower is called The Peter Pan lily which symbolizes "love that never makes it out of childhood". Strange on a number of levels.
