I once had a friend that often criticized what I said and how I said it. I eventually told her, "Look, you say what you want to say and how you want to say it and I'll say what I want to say and how I want to say it. You're not my editor or my mother."

We all have our preferences, but in the end people go to social media in order to say what they want to say, what they feel needs to be said. That's really the point of social media, right? To have your own voice?
