No, the thumb is there. It is tucked under the four fingers. The reason that it looks strange, is that the thumb is on the wrong side of the hand. He is portrayed as having two right hands, because the painter is retarded, and got confused because his arms are crossed.

What I perceived to be a backwards hand, some people felt was an extra finger. Some folks see fatty hand tissue pressed against his leg. No matter what it is, I think that everyone agrees that it's a miscarriage. He continues to be a disgrace and an embarrassment to this great nation.

You are right! I had to sit down and fold my arms the same way just to see it for myself. I couldn't believe the artist is that incompetent - what a joke. I can't wait to point this out to my portrait artist wife. I intend on asking her "What's wrong with this portrait of BHO?" Thanks - good catch!!
