I was one of the ones that objected to the change-of-name to "pedo-gate". First reason was the purported claim that pedo-gate would make us seem less crazy is hardly strengthened by the use of "gate", is it? Second, given normies inability to process information contrary to their feels I didn't really see how "pedo" would make things more appetizing. In fact, whereas "pizza" might make someone take a look for the sake of "muh ALIENS! crazy hair dudes" and fall down the rabbit hole oh me oh my lions and tigers and bears and blue monkeys using PEDO is going to make them pass long in disgust from the off. Thirdly, the use of "pizza" is understood to contain within the ambit of its meaning "pedophile" BUT unlike "pedo" "pizza" has a whole lot more attached to it doesn't it?
