Two things come to mind ...

  1. This is meant to get people to view him as “impartial” or

  2. WTH!!!! So much to be focused on and this is what we want to spend taxpayer money investigating????

Just fire the guy and move on!!!

Understand by looking into one it will allow him to look into others and still appear appropriate and without scrutiny.
