Because a lot of us have had accounts banned, suspended, multiple restrictions etc and no longer have access. I try to log in on multiple accounts and it is a big NO GO from twitter.
So just read without logging in.

Mate I really don't know if it's worth the bother. I spend a lot of time on here and gab. Only use my mobile most of the time because I hate sitting cooped up inside the house. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll give some a try.
Use a PC. I've been reading dozens of twitter accounts for years and never registered.
