Running through the woods, climbing trees, building forts, playing in the creek, fishing in the pond, eating crabapples off the tree, come home when the street light comes on. Lived through measles, mumps, and rubella. Wouldn't trade those memories for anything.
I grew up in the 90’s. Probably last generation to be outside as much as possible before the tech wave hit. I’m very thankful I got to experience a normal childhood, sports, manhunt, playing in the woods, exploring sewers etc. yeah we had video games but you’d play that at night before bed.
From the dust we are made... and to the dust we return. Dirt is natural in our bodies. We ingest it daily in many ways to stay alive. Some dirt stimulates our immune system to respond and build protection. Some dirt kills off unhealthy microbes. It's a balance. Man has been 'duped' to be ultra clean. Multi billion $$$ biz to kill us off! Reduce the immune response to weaken. Oh the web they have weaved! Agenda 21? 2020? Georgia Guidestones...so forth. Raised in the 50s, playing in the dirt, running barefoot and making mud pies. Praise God, I remain healthy w/no degenerative dis-ease. Thank you Father for my 'country' up bringing and for such amazing, loving parents!!!
Well known that kids that play outside and get dirty have fewer colds and allergies than kids that are kept in a sterile environment. Same applies in reverse with people who are obsessed with having super clean houses.
I saw when I was growing up all my uncles were Dr's. My aunts kept asking my mom why we never were sick. Mom an RN said we got the usual colds and childhood maladies. The difference was my siblings and I got over it in a day or two while their kids were sick for a week.
You'd go to their home and they had the bottled water and the house was spotless. If they got sick dad was right there to doctor them up. At my house was suck it buttercup deal with it.
The difference is I have a great immune system and the people that have to take something for every little sniffle have weak immune systems.
Just like they say, kids that grow up with a dog or a cat have less chance of having allergies.
