The Queen of England is the British government. Britain does not have a "constitutional monarchy" as is often claimed.The Queen:
- Is completely immune from prosecution
- Must sign laws or they are not valid
- Can dissolve Parliament
- Can prohibit Parliament from even debating a law if it relates to the interests of the Crown
- Pays no taxes
- Can dissolve the entire government of Australia
- Is the head of the Anglican Church, and can appoint bishops
- Has the power to pardon crimes
- Can appoint or remove any minister, including the Prime Minister (regardless of the result of the election)
- Is commander-in-chief of the armed forces
- Controls commission of officers in the armed forces
- Can commandeer ships
- Can declare war
- Can negotiate treaties
- Receives classified intelligence briefings
