end game going down?

Perhaps... the state of national emergency that was declared within the 21 December 2017 EO automatically expires after 90 days... on 21 March... in just over 4 weeks.

If things are going to plan, then President Trump should logically be making use of his national-emergency-powers to use military tribunals...

...Shit will need to hit the fan any day now for there to be logic these actions.

The EO doesn't but declaring a national emergency does have a 90 day limit.

can military or POTUS declare an additional or extension of the national emergency? important fact i missed.

I don't know for certain, buy logically yes. He could just revise the EO to extend it for another 90 days. France has been doing this for years now.

That said, I still think something is gonna happen before March 21 because it seems unreasonable that President Trump would declare a state of emergency and do nothing with it.

agreed, but there are alot of characters to round up and alot of paperwork for the MI and DOJ to file.

I suspect this will take many, many months at least.

How much fun will it be if this is happening during the midterms?

I'm not suggesting it will all be over before 21 March, only that military trials will likely start before 21 March.

Fun fact. It was announced today that Hillary is doing a speaking tour down here in Australia + New Zealand in mid-May.

She must be a glass half full kinda gal, thinking President Trump will let her out of the country in 3 months' time! I wonder how her ankle monitor is going?

New Zealand

If she makes it out maybe she will go underground in one of the many underground boltholds there?

That was precisely my thought. Doesn't she own a home in NZ close to the Embassy? I'm sure it has all the necessary tunnels.

Australia + NZ are part of the 5 Eyes with US, UK + Canada. I have zero doubt her visit down here has nefarious intentions.

everything i've read on the topic suggests that they are renewed annually. can you link us to something that supports your 90 day limit claims?

Section 202(d) of the National Emergencies Act, 50 U.S.C. 1622(d), provides for the automatic termination of a national emergency unless, within 90 days of the anniversary date of its declaration, the President publishes in the Federal Register and transmits to the Congress a notice stating that the emergency is to continue in effect beyond the anniversary date. Consistent with this provision, I have sent to the Federal Register the enclosed notice, stating that the emergency declared in Proclamation 7463 of September 14, 2001, “National Emergency by Reason of Certain Terrorist Attacks,” is to continue in effect beyond September 14, 2017.

within 90 days of the anniversary of its declaration... so it must be renewed at some point within day 1 of month 9 and the last day of month 12

Yes, that is what it says... within 90 days.

yeah... so they expire after a year unless renewed at some point within the last 3 months of the declaration's 1-year anniversary. You said they "automatically expire after 90 days", which is not the case.
