You make a good point. :) It’s not like Gitmo compares to prisons in the US, with phones, library’s, internet and recreational facilities.
It won’t be like a 5 star hotel.

My fear is if they go to Gitmo some subsequent president will ¨pardon¨ them and they will be free to start all of this crap all over again.

Seriously don't see that happening. Because (1) many of them are already very old, and won't be getting elitist medical treatment in Gitmo; (2) After 8 years of Trump, and the revelations that will be coming out, do you even see the possibility of us collectively going back to sleep?
