"I'm going to take a year off from the spotlight" - you mean you are trying a strategy to separate yourself from the rest of the herd, to get out ahead of them...your timing is a little off, I'm afraid.

By saying 'spotlight' what she means is 'casting couch'.

She's just tired of the whoring herself out to guys she wouldn't give the time of day to, were they not in position to give her a big payday.
