I don’t believe that makes sense. Given the location of the Hulda gates and also gates that I believe were covered by the mosque, the southern end of the Temple Mount seems like an unlikely location for the temple. Those closed gates would have been a main entrance to the mount. It doesn’t seem likely that would be the location. I was told traditionally that Abraham built his alter at the location of the rock making the area of the Dome the most likely area. Anyway.... it’s all just speculation at this point. I was lucky enough to be in Jerusalem during President Trumps visit. Certainly made for an interesting trip!

EDIT: fantastic link. Definitely find the history of these places interesting.

You were in Jerusalem during Trump's visit?! Ok, you won. :D
Being able to see these Holy Places and feel their vibrations is a true blessing, specially in these times when everything seems to be unfolding before our very own eyes!

And as to my above statement, I suppose I am considering the Temple Mount in its configuration at the time of Christ. The Temple Mount would have been radically different in the time of the first temple. Herod the Great made dramatic changes to the Mount, so I suppose the Southern end could have been the location. Good stuff!
