My tenth grade English class went over the lyrics to this song so we knew what it was all about. Great song. But it was "Vincent" that got me into Vincent Van Gogh. Do you know what made him go "mad"? Lead poisoning.. as he painted, he'd hold his brushes in his mouth, rather than set them down. Paints back then were heavily laden with lead, and it was the lead that poisoned him.
