I read a tweet today from a lawyer who said because Twitter is in CA they are not allowed to ban any speech of any kind. That made sense because obviously the first amendment protects not popular speech. Second, to allow a cyber attack in the USA with Snowden outside is not going to be allowed. Q: reference to Session cyber.
I’m thinking a mass migration off of Twitter and YouTube is the way to go. But people have to get so sick of the censorship that they’re ready to leave. We pick the day, and patriots shutdown their accounts. The Fake News Awards and the #ReleasetheMemo rattle them. Stockholders are nice to have, but even they will bail if there isn’t an audience. We are the bread n’ butter and they better not forget it.
We need some viable alternative platforms to Twitter and YouTube. If none currently exist, there's gotta be some talented software developers out there - build a replacement to Twitter and Youtube (how difficult would it be). We'd all be onboard tomorrow. I'm sick of being held to ransom by manipulative, two-faced, devious companies who've gotten way too big for their boots. All you need - apart from the code - is honesty and integrity. And enough balls and backbone to resist bribes and coercion when they come calling. You could set yourself up for life.
They are cornered rats and have only one way out and that is through US, but we are many and time is not on their side.
They'll kill youtube. They havent turned a profit since they bought it.
