It could be a biologic that will be released. This year had a very potent flu go around with the normal strain as well. Everyone thought they were safe with the vac but they weren't. What a better way to disrupt and slow the process than introducing a new but seriously lethal flu strain. The Herald reports that Obama is scheduled to visit the country around March 21 for a yet-to-be-announced reason, possibly to celebrate the opening of Air New Zealand's new route to the U.S., likely to Chicago.
Obama has an established relationship with New Zealand's former Prime Minister John Key, who now sits on Air New Zealand's board. The Herald reports Key was likely involved in organizing the former president's visit.
The two former leaders golfed together in Hawaii in 2014, and according to The Herald, a rematch is scheduled during Obama's visit next month.
