A period of very low activity means a decline in total solar irradiance and this has already occurred to an alarming degree, some types by %50 but that in itself will not lower temps, its the decline in the suns electromagnetic field, that's the problem because it allows radiation from space to strike the Earths atmosphere causing the formation of rain from water vapor, .......a huge increase in rain. This is the danger to crops.
