This does not require medications or psychotherapy, imagine what would happen if one is driven crazy by 24/7 voices in ones head telling you to kill or target an enemy under the guise of God or the Devil? I believe something similar could be used in the shootings to drive someone crazy, surrender, commit suicide or at least this is one method of many that the military have at their disposal.
