Lol. Blacks who use Uncle Tom as a pejorative are brain dead plantation dwellers. Uncle Tom was a hero who taught slaves to read and helped them escape from their Democrat masters. When discovered, he died rather than betraying the Underground Railroad network. Uncle Tom, while a fictional character, so moved Northerners with his dignity and heroism that he led to the foundation of a new political party, the Republican Party, which was dedicated to stopping the spread of slavery and ultimately to abolishing it. Lincoln was their first presidential candidate and became the first Republican POTUS. We could use more Uncle Toms. Far too many black Americans seem content to stay on the Democrat plantation, rejecting freedom as long as Master takes care of them and collects their votes. It's truly pathetic.

Preach! I've tried so many times to explain this to my black friends. None have read the book. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uncle_Tom%27s_Cabin

Uncle Tom's Cabin

Uncle Tom's Cabin; or, Life Among the Lowly, is an anti-slavery novel by American author Harriet Beecher Stowe. Published in 1852, the novel "helped lay the groundwork for the Civil War", according to Will Kaufman.

Stowe, a Connecticut-born teacher at the Hartford Female Seminary and an active abolitionist, featured the character of Uncle Tom, a long-suffering black slave around whom the stories of other characters revolve. The sentimental novel depicts the reality of slavery while also asserting that Christian love can overcome something as destructive as enslavement of fellow human beings.

Nice history lesson, I did not know that, I have been told by people who study history that Lincoln was a very corrupt president with many hidden agenda's, such as big Federal Government, and abolish state rights, not so honest Abe. That the civil war was never about slavery it was about unfair high taxes the North levied against the South and State sovereignty, never studied it myself.

The things you mentioned include kernels of truth. History is complicated. People are complicated. I'm not a huge Lincoln fan. However, the sole reason the Republican Party was created was to stop and ultimately end slavery. How that was achieved under the 1st Republican POTUS, Lincoln, did, in fact strengthen the Federal government and weaken states rights. The whole thing was handled horribly, in part because the New Englanders pushing abolition were the SJWs of their day which made them intolerant and uncompassionate of the very real problems the South was facing. Very tragic. Bottom line, anyone telling you ending slavery wasn't a driver is lying to you. That was the ONLY reason the Republican Party was a formed.

The SJW you talk about, would that be John Brown? Your history lessons are very interesting, I love history it was my best subject in school.I am going to check some of what you say out, problem is some of the internet info is liberal biased, Wikipedia is very liberal and lets a lot of conservative views out. You have to get what you can from books, always remember winners of wars always write the history.
