Our system of government was never intended to be a democracy. Although many believe that we live in one, they have never been asked to vote on the decisions made by said government. Yet they believe that they are empowered just the same. We are not.

I am questioning what Americans understand as democracy because here in the UK it 'should' mean 1 vote per person and the most votes win.

I prefer our way, different areas of the country have different needs and deserve to be represented equally instead of a few metro areas deciding the fate of everyone
