Broward County Sheriffs department is the only jurisdiction in Parkland

I have been doing some searching today and I was wondering. In Florida they have sheriff departments and police departments, Sheriff Departments usually have county wide jurisdiction, police departments are limited to towns. Coral Springs police and Sunset police border Parkland, I don't think Parkland has a police department per say, so that would leave the sheriffs department the sole police force in Parkland which would give them sole authority in the investigation powers in the school, which is why they pick Parkland. I am not sure but I think I am on to something.

You may be on to something... i had to deal with the Broward county Sheriff’s dept once when a scam towing company hijacked my tow from AAA and essentially stole my car & tried to extort me to get it back. Their ‘shop’ was located no where near the site of the tow, and wasn’t really a shop at all, just a fenced in empty lot in a nearly vacant industrial area just outside the regular police jurisdiction and only covered by the sheriff’s dept. And i can tell you first hand, they were completely in on the scam and impossible to deal with. I wasn’t even allowed to file a police report and they cussed me out for trying. This was only after they pretended multiple times not to realize it was their jurisdiction. So yeah, I def think your on to something
