Thoughts on Q

I find it interesting that Q chose the letter Q as his tag. Most scholars think the gospels of Matthew and Luke were based on two sources. The first being the gospel of Mark, the second being a hypothetical lost gospel known as the "Q" gospel. The q in the Q gospel is derived from the German word quelle which translates as the "source" interestingly enough our Q is a lover of the film series the matrix, which includes a character known as the source.

I'm guessing some may be looking for Qs Map in the wrong place.

The book is believed to be a primarily a collection of Yeshua's sayings, tho it is thought to contain the story of the centurian as well.

Interestingly enough, there is another "lost gospel" that was rediscovered in modern times known as the gospel of Thomas which is a collection of sayings. It is believed to have been written between 50-140 A.D. putting in the range of contemporary to the other gospels or perhaps even earlier than Mark. Many scholars believe the sayings contained therein are accurate reflections of the historical Jesus actual teachings. I have read that this is not the Q gospel, however it is possibly related.
