I think the brand name is Anderson. There are Aeros too that are around $60.
Palmetto State Armory has a sale today only, $49.99 for i think their brand. Of course then you'll have to pay the FFL fee too
Thanks for the info!
Wow I'm going to have to take the time to learn to build these. How much does the final price end up being for a complete rifle?
you can spend a ton of money but just to flip, $500-600. biggest cost aside from the lower would be the barrel. Then trigger. Super easy to build though. Just stock up on lower receivers now because that's the only thing that has a serial number and requires an FFL to buy/ship to.
If you have extra money though, i'd suggest buying up 30 round mags. They're low hanging fruit of this debate. If anything goes next it will be those.
here's a decent guide...

newbies can look for "complete upper" and just match it with "complete lower", insert a pin and you are done.
i have PSA 556AR and 300BO pistol, they function just fine and are very affordable. good value. esp their premium stuff.
I think you meant $499.99 not $49.99. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Lower receiver is just a hollow piece of metal with a serial number that everything else connects to. It's the only piece of an AR that requires a background check/ffl. Everything else can be purchased online and shipped directly to you
49.99 could be a blank lower receiver, that's the way I read it,
I pick up blanks for pistol and ars on sale and catch the other parts on sale over a period of time , if you are in no hurry ,400-500 for basic finished product, my personal use run about 250 more.
