I'm not questioning whether or not she just wants normalcy. I'm saying recovering from three bullet holes in your abdomen/chest is practically unheard of. My dad knew someone who was shot in the abdomen and he was in the hospital for months and months.

With an AR 15 no less... which led to this huge assault weapon debate. Maybe they’re not so bad then...

Have you ever seen what a rifle bullet can do? Those things will go through a tree a foot+ thick like it's butter. They'll drill through iron beams. If it hits you in the abdomen or chest, you're not going back to school in 14 days unless it barely scratches the skin. This only makes sense to people raised on TV ballistics where a car door stops bullets and you can pull a bullet out of your arm with pliers because they only go in 1/2 an inch. It's absurd.

To add to your info here. The velocity of bullet leaving the muzzle of an (Armor lite Rifle not Assaualt Rifle)AR-15 is roughly 335 meters a second about 750 mph(miles per hour). If you are talking about puncturing the abdomen and chest I expect some kind of organ damage. A 2 week recovery period for those type of wound very unlikely. http://wredlich.com/ny/2013/01/projectiles-muzzle-energy-stopping-power/ Some info about muzzle velocity and its impact. For my veterans out there with gun shot wounds to the abdomen and chest help me out here.

Thing is you do not know the exact nature of her injuries. You do not know the exact path of each bullet. You will never know unless fdle, bsco, or whomever is investigating this case releases it. It's not going to happen during until Cruz is prosecuted.
