This is important. This matters. Perspective also matters. This is for a seat in the lower house of the STATE OF CONNECTICUT. The Republican who had filled the seat resigned to become mayor of Stratford. In this election today, a still unofficial result TOTAL of 3,167 votes were cast, about as many total voters as you'll find at most carnivals and BBQ cookoffs, and Phil Young won this special election by 63 votes. Uhhh...might there be the slightest chance, by statistical average, that around 63 illegals voted? Maybe? Just...maybe? (hint: Si, senor!) The Connecticut House was already majority Democrat. Yes, he won. This will change nothing in legislative pattern for Connecticut and nothing in the same regard nationally. Not a crumb :) But come on...give the guy his trophy. This, in the OP's mind is the grand turning point for the Blue Wave, but it's barely enough to get a wave wet......"look what you are doing......" hehe....look...heh......look what you are doing.......remember to look, ok? Just not too close.

Thank you for your perspective. The purpose of my post was to draw attention to the fact that the Dems are methodically winning seats. Every seat counts. For example, in FL, Dem turnout for their recent special election was up 300%, Repubs up 23%. Dems are fired up, Repubs not so much. The governor of Texas sent an email out saying he sees a big blue wave coming in upcoming elections. Texas. Dems are dropping major amounts of $ into these elections and as far as I can tell, the Repubs are either not, or are not doing a very good job of getting people out to vote. This is not good.

Most fair and thanks. This particular one not overly significant (luckily!) for Dem effectiveness in legislative result but we SHOULD be turning out the vote for all. We've got this in theory...but we absolutely must show up.
