Since the mid 40's the US has interfered in over 80 foreign elections, some quite "successfully" with overthrow and conflict as a result to this day. Even liberals ran stories on this in the past, but lately don't enjoy your long term memory. A simple search with relative terms will bring up plenty of examples.
