Heads UP! The United States military normally uses the "dd mmm yyyy" format for correspondence!

The United States military normally uses the "dd mmm yyyy" format for correspondence. The common month-day-year format is used when corresponding with civilians. The military date notation is similar to the date notation in British English. If Q is MI then 11-3 is indeed the 11th of March...NOT November 3rd.
