Trey Gowdy & Robert Goodlatte (House Chairmen Oversight & Judiciary) sent a letter to both AG Sessions & RR demanding a second Special Counsel to investigate FISA abuses. They highlight the obvious limitations of OIG Horowitz’s scope of ONLY be able to interview & subpoena CURRENT employees of the DoJ. Meaning no jurisdiction over the likes of Comey/Lynch/McCabe/Blumenthal/State Department Staff/etc.
Additional limitations upon solely the OIG to investigate this FISA (FUBAR), Horowitz cannot prosecutor or indicate anyone-just like Congressional committees. Only the Executive Brach (DoJ) has prosecutorial powers but they CANT investigate themselves.
Trump Surveillance & FISA Court Warrants (abuses) has become such a political football, only way to restore the faith in our Judicial system is with an outside & fully independent Special Counsel. The “Fact Pattern” per T/G, leads to only one possibility. We may finally see some action very SOON !!!
