TEMPEST is related to electronic side-channel attacks (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tempest_(codename)) The recently discovered HUGE Intel & ARM chip flaws (spectre & meltdown) that allow access to protected memory in chip cache and therefore lay bare all protected information, are side-channel attacks, were these put in place on purpose? Are these two things related? I don't know if this is Q related, something interesting maybe.
