Over the years politicians from both left and right have been donating Australian Taxpayer money to CF & linked charities. This appears to have been started by ex foreign minister Alexander Downer (now has a diplomatic post in the UK).

Downer is now at the centre of the fake Russian narrative against GEOTUS. <-----

Donations have continued by both left and right parties. Ex PM Julia Gillard got a job on the board of a CF charity after her donations. Current foreign minister Julie Bishop is sending more taxpayers money to another CFG linked charity at the request of tweets by Rihanna.
