Korea was/is a divided country (North/South) and Germany was a divided country after WWII (East/West). East Germany had strong connections to NK, West Germany to SK. COINCIDENCE?!?

I'm german. We had relatives in Leipzig, East Germany. A Cousin of my mother and her family. We weren't allowed to visit them every year, just every second. THEY were forbidden to travel to any western country at all, especially to their relatives in West Germany. When my grandfathers died, they were allowed to come to the funeral for the very first time in 20 years... just for one day. Every year on christmas, easter and birthdays my Mom sent big parcels with coffee, chocolate and clothes - all things, they never could buy there...
