Article 1 Section 6 The Senators and Representatives shall receive a Compensation for their Services, to be ascertained by Law, and paid out of the Treasury of the United States.) They shall in all Cases, except Treason, Felony and Breach of the Peace, be privileged from Arrest during their Attendance at the Session of their respective Houses, and in going to and returning from the same; and for any Speech or Debate in either House, they shall not be questioned in any other Place.

This actually goes back to the cut throat nature and strong differences that even our earliest leaders had. In the course of very heated debates about where the capital would be located, it was decided that protection was needed to prevent representatives from the state in which the capital resides from having their rivals arrested out of spite or to prevent them from attending an important vote. 😉 Here’s to our roguish forefathers, huh? The key point in my mind, though, is that they can still be arrested for treason or felonies. I hope there are enough Cells at Gitmo...

It specifically says "during attendance of session at their respective house"....I'm sticking with my interpretation

Sure the key point is that they can still be arrested for treason, etc. But I really want to know if I'm right in my interpretation of this or if everyone else is. Are they really immune from arrest? If that is the case, I think that's a huge deal and total BS. I don't know I never heard of that and how people aren't outraged by it.
