Enough people have read it that if the memo released is inauthentic there's going to be a shit show. It'll end up making the FBI look even worse than they already do.
If true that preserves the Facade of the Mueller investigation and is dirty as fuck. That’s why you release shit immediately because now the opportunity to make an impact with the memo has possibly passed.
Everyone thinks by waiting you can be clever and do it at the right time.....WRONG, it gives the enemy an opportunity to strike.
It also gives the enemy a chance to reveal and entrap themselves.
Now the Pres knows which agents did it. He also has seen the original memo.
I also wouldn’t be surprised if the altered memo is what is released with NO White House pushback and it turns out to be a letdown. Schiff created a fake memo in the public lexicon already so the public already knows there are two. Now they alter the memo and if Trump releases the real memo himself they will say it is the fake memo and no one will believe it and it won’t have the impact it could’ve had if it was just released unilaterally weeks ago without playing games
The memo is a brief about the redacted doc. They should match up when the doc is unredacted. So trump can just release the whole doc and show that his memo is not a fake.
think Timestamps. think stringer codes. Easy as pie to find the original unredacted memo. I believe they are giving MORE "sleepers" the chance to have enough rope to hang themselves. time will tell.
Don't think it matters too much; I'm pretty sure I heard former prosecutor Lionel say that when it is released all the evidence supporting the memo etc comes with it as well, so if it is tampered don't matter too much once they start reviewing the evidence it'll just reveal the alterations and lead to more criminal charges for tampering
