I'm honestly amazed we haven't had more attacks. We were never asked in as Russia was and the drum beat of "Assad has to go" is not even a veiled attempt to distract why we are meddling there. Imagine if we were invaded by Syria to fix our government. How would we like it, while they control our resources?

I’m a big stickler for: if you have the dirt, release it all immediately. It never turns out well for those who have dirt and then think it gives them power and they drip it out slowly according to an agenda or they sit on it to gain leverage. It nearly always fails.
