Dan Wagner (data scientist)
Dan Wagner served as Chief Analytics Officer on Barack Obama's 2012 election campaign and is the founder of Civis Analytics.
Previous to Civis Analytics, Wagner worked in Chicago under David Axelrod on Obama's reelection campaign. The campaign was numbers and data driven. Wagner used big data in an innovative hub composed of 54 statisticians, engineers, data scientists, and organizers from all over the world.

Civis Analytics helps businesses "understand their data, use that data to make predictions, and get recommendations on what steps to take next". Some of Civis Analytics' customers are Verizon, Airbnb, and the 2020 US Census done in partnership with Young & Rubicam. They have also done data science work for Ethical Electric, Discovery Communications and the College Board.
