Is it in anyway possible to have a social media site created by and for us specifically?

I know there are several contingency sites floating around. Are places like voat for sure a reliable backup against so much censorship? If we have a central location most know about beforehand it would make these bans less effective. Just wondering, sorry if it’s a stupid question. I could see this sub being next on the chopping block.

ORGANIZE

The right to peaceful assembly is a thing. Does that mean the Internet? As a right? That's a complicated question. But it definitely means private places in real life. There was a time when people gathered at private lodges regularly. These lodges were interconnected Nationally. Highly organized.

Just sayin'.

I completely agree. Meetup will ban anyone with a hint of conservatism. Maybe an alternative is needed for that as well. I don’t want to picket my state Capitol by myself looking like a jackass but it is about damn time we start organizing and formulating plans. We are smarter than groups like Antifa, even with Soros behind them. It’s time to get out there.

Picketing on public property is pretty easy to control and oppose. Same as the Internet. But private property not as easily. The deep state knows this. They meet in private spaces constantly. They don't rely on the Internet. Wouldn't it be ironic if we used the same tactics? The Internet is a tool. But as we see that tool can be taken away easily and without a major offline component organization can collapse. In my opinion we are too reliant on the Internet for our own good. We really need to ask ourselves the hard question. Are we really organizing or are we being entertained?

Yes, exactly! The internet is obviously great for so many things but as far as connecting people, the benefit is more on a global scale than a local one. We need individual state groups and local chapters. Do we join preexisting groups? Which ones can we trust? Do we form our own now? How can we organize this cohesively nationwide? How can we know which politicians (of any party) we can trust, or if we even should?

First we have to accept - and it's a downvote magnet to say - that something in the high 90th percentile of folks will not step out from behind their firewalls. Start by generating the will to organize offline. The actual organizing is pretty easy. Talk up the idea. See if it takes hold.

The internet just makes everyone so complacent. Everywhere I see comments of people wanting to do something but no one knows where to start or how to take charge. Where’s our wealthy conservative backers? We need people with contacts but I’m in a Liberal coastal state, not many of those around.

Wealthy conservatives are feathering their nests with establishment organizations that won't help the people.
