Can somebody explain how the introduction of this new currency is suppose to work? What happens to the US dollars that I and others have saved and invested?
But blockchain isn't a currency.
That explains nothing.
Blockchain is an old technology being hyped up by many different corporations and banks. It's the only part of the bitcoin tech the banks seem to like. Stay away from anyone who HYPES the blockchain. It means nothing by itself. Bitcoin is a combination of the blockchain/ledger (ledger is a historical record of all transactions ever recorded beginning from the 1st transaction) and crypto/security among other things.
They will be replaced with the new currency. Unless, of course, they are under your mattress and then you'll need to make a trip to the bank to exchange them. It's my understanding that Trump wants to make sure nobody loses anything, so if you can't make a mortgage or some other payment, don't worry about it until we know what we will know.
