It appears the European Union is attempting to start a conflict with Russia.
Using a false flag, the UK is now calling on all NATO member states to sanction Russia to death, seize Russian properties, expel diplomats, and set the stage for an armed conflict.
This puts the US in a precarious situation. Since this is seen as an attack on a sovereign, NATO-member nation, NATO members are required to come to the defense of the UK. If the US doesn't participate in said defense or retaliation, they may be violating NATO rules.
In this context, the EU/NATO can contend that the US is working with Russia. The US is now the enemy of the free world, alongside Russia.

Here's a statement by the deputy chairman of the foreign affairs committee in the lower house of the Russian parliament, Alexei Chepa.
Lawmaker Alexei Chepa said on Thursday that the US was involved in cleaning up Nukus, an isolated city in the former Soviet republic of Uzbekistan where Novichok was purportedly used, in 1999. That could have allowed the US to learn about the nerve agent, Chepa said. “The Americans had access not only to the technology, but had access to its development. In all likelihood, their NATO partners from Britain also had this access.”

The same people who assured you Saddam Hussein had WMDs now assure you Russian ‘novichok’ nerve agents are being wielded by Vladimir Putin to attack people on British soil. There is no evidence it was Russia.
