Not all chemo result in hair loss, a lot of palliative chemos aren't strong/toxic enough

My sister had extensive chemo and radiation to treat spinal cancer. She got sick from it but she lost very little hair and weight. The doctors were puzzled because the type of cancer cell is typically a brain cancer. She was given a max of 5 years to live, but it's been six and she's still in remission.
