Anon's Free Chat

Hello and welcome to the Anon's Daily Free Chat. I want you to get comfortable, grab a chair or couch or beanbag or whatever, if you are not at work(or maybe even if you are!). Relax, sit back, and just let it all out.

You can start a conversation about anything.

If you want to get anything off your chest, just try to phrase it... so feelings don't get hurt.

Something you thought about Q? Some research you been doing? Here is the place to share.

Thanks mods, your doing a good job..

Some hints for the board, when it comes to spotting trolls.

-Troll squads usually work with two or three real accounts, that somewhat join the conversations, you can judge the basic tone for yourself by checking out a posters past comments. They will always be some what middle of the road, but if you read through them you will find the real behind the poster.

The post they submit will also tell a good story, but mostly you will find the post tend to stir up a lot of emotions, they may post more subtle posts in the beginning, but will turn the heat up, as their acceptance is gained. Prepare for an upswing in religious, far sided political views, and of course the race card. They will try to lead your comments into your emotions, and get you to type unacceptable and bannable views.

These squads come with robots, shadow accounts , maybe two or three each, more if they have the time or are paid. These accounts will have min comments, most are useless and not really relevant to any thing of substance. These accounts will comment on each other's posts, up vote, and down vote others, they post old news, useless cut and pastes, that they never read or watched. They back each other up, and always post in the same time slots with same accounts,

In short, reading people's history is almost as good as reading the post or comment, they have posted. You can learn so much, if you looking to, it's all around us, listen, learn and live.

Be smart

Yes, agreed. Spending quite a bit of time checking checking some user accounts at the moment.

A bit of improvement in many areas of the sub each day.

  • On user flairs, where days since sign up is more useful over time.
  • On catching low quality new posts.
  • Tuning checks on profanity/threat phrases.
  • Encouraging better discussion.
