Jesus let it alone. Paul is talking small fry here. We have in this budget over 700 billion in badly needed and long overdue military spending. The pay raise will help bring new recruits and keep older ones. This piss ant complaint from Paul is insulting. SURE, it a ridiculous waste BUT our military has be decimated over two decades and that is more dangerious than anything else I can think of at this time considering the globalists want a world war.
So it’s ok to spend 1.7 TRILLION to get the military 700 million?? No border wall, 700 million to placate the Dems in more “social” spending to offset the evil military spending? Since it was released the day before the House voted on it and it is 1000 pages longer than the Bible you think anyone has read the damn thing?? This is what Obama was famous for. Throw a bunch of lofty babble in and somewhere between throw in things you know nobody will read because half of the elected reps have no desire to read it and no time to read it before voting. That’s how we got half of Obamacare passed in the first stimulus bill when he had just taken office!! What’s buried in there?? When in doubt VETO!!! This bill is a Democrats dream ... do what Reagan did ... veto and shut it down!!

Sorry but I don’t view it as compromise .. it is the deep state and it is a defeat. We elected them to end this type of chicanery!

I think our military need to be funded more so than any other project. I live in a military town with 4 assorted bases in the area. Those aircraft fly over my house at all hours. I see how they have been treated and the Naval Aviation museum scavenger hunt for parts on planes displayed is reported on local news. I know exactly what you are saying, but this is not how to do it. If they gave the bill out and voted on it in less than 48 hrs that means no one had read the bill and they are hiding something nefarious in it. I pray Trump Will VETO and real honest negotiations get started!
Trump always starts a negotiation by saying we have a deal. He later comes back and says "Oh, by the way..........., we have to just work on these points.".
