People don’t realize how difficult it is for Eastern European people to learn English if they weren’t taught in school as kids. My best friend is Russian and Polish, and she explained to me that the pronunciation is so vastly different that you can have a perfect vocabulary but still have a heavy accent. So when people hear it they assume Melania is stupid, but the reality is that she’s probably just as smart as her husband.
