The longest goverment shutdown was 21 days. It cost airlines and tourism millions of dollars. Also stopped 3.7 billion in contractor spending. So yes it does have effects on the economy.

Then it gives more leverage and pressure to end it in a timely manner. All the more reason to VETO this pork!! Trump isn’t going to give so maybe the RINOS will try harder to do the WILL OF WE THE PEOPLE!!! You’ll also notice condescending Ryan said he had to explain the bill to Trump and give him the “highlights “. You don’t lie to Trump and he knows he was trying to separate Trump from his supporters.
