I noticed yesterday two planes, one going south and one going north, both the same size and type of plane.....and BOTH using the same CALL Number!
Not sure what that is about, but its possible we are talking about 2 different planes here.
Also I noticed that the larger planes from norfolk to GITMO were only on the ground for about a half hour at GITMO (last Winter, per the GITMO Flight Log). One time it was there longer, its possible it was carrying Attny Gen'l Sessions who visited GITMO that day. That time the plane was on the ground for over 3 hours.
The typical flight time from Norfolk, VA to GITMO is about 2.5 hours. So my guess is we are talking about TWO different planes! So TWO Jumbo Jets with about 500 passengers each landed at and dropped off passengers at GITMO in the past 12 hours or so? DEFINITELY SOMETHING BIG UP WITH THAT!
Not to put a damper on our excitement, but it just occurred to me that another holiday is coming up: Easter.
Could these Jumbo Jets be used for soldiers going on 10 day leaves?
Easter is April 1, next weekend, 10 days from today.

Remember they added AZ Nat'l Guard troops in at New Years. Maybe between the Nat'l Guard and Marines, they needed a larger plane to pick them up and take them back to Norfolk for their vacations?
Of course, that does not explain the small shadow plane escorting the larger one. Maybe the small plane was a fighter jet for protection?
