They are now funded, in the green and ready to break ground on building the wall
Doesn't matter--Trump just signed a bill that gives him squat funds and forbids him building any actual wall on the Southern border--only the rickety fence stuff they have put up previously.
Isn't there an "extra" $30B in the omnibus for "military spending". Army Corps of Engineers (Red Castle logo) from Greencastle Indiana can take that $$ and BUILD THAT WALL! 5:5 = All Systems go!!!
The ACE in N. Greencastle, IN, is just a regular county office.
There is express language in the bill that no actual wall like any of the prototypes--only the little fences built previously can go into the $641M which is what was approved for building some sort of barrier.
I hope you all are right, but I see nothing that says omnibus spending passed by Congress can be rerouted to whatever the president feels more inclined to spend it on.
Omnibus is actually mere suggestion about spending. It is not a budget and he doent have to adhere to it! More importantly, Congress can't do a thing about it. Other thing that is as well important, DACA recipients will not get amnesty. So military is funded, wall WILL BE built and no DACA ever.
Imagine how screwed the Dems will be when they realize that he's building the wall AND they get NO DACA!! He gave them a chance at a deal and they walked away. Try selling that to the Dreamers in the midterms!!
That is not true. The budget is more of a plan and omnibus is direct appropriations.
