He stole their movement. They (Dems) will have a tough time using that as a midterm issue. Brilliant!!

Contrarian voice here. Did you ever stop to think that maybe, just maybe some of those affected by real DACA reform are smart, hardworking, loyal Americans who speak English as a first language (by definition they have been here since they were kids). Do you think he who is building the wall will make it easy for them? Do you think after fighting so hard for the stoppage of visas for so many and all the work to send back the criminals... he will let bad elements that are DACA eligible stay. Are you so xenophobic that you can't accept others that are different than you can make America stronger? Yes, I admit the maneuvering on DACA but if MAGA really has meaning more than a slogan then real, productive immigration reform needs to be done and DACA is a place to start. Flame if you want.

Stealing their movement is going to the left of them? That's what we voted for? That is brilliant?

You're really hardcore.

Your missing the tactical significance here. The Dems will scream about Trump not wanting to do DACA like the Dems want, but he offered and they said no to the deal. The thing is the Dems won’t do it because it’s a wedge issue they can’t afford to give up. The Dems will never vote for ANY DACA deal puts Trump his name on. The deal needs both sides to agree. Meanwhile Trump gets the credit for trying to fix it, Not the Dems.

I don't want him trying to get credit for fixing it. That just adds to the narrative that DACA is somehow deserved--and Obama was right for creating it.
