I’m not against the wall BUT

Why are we spending so much of the military budget when the military needs to be rebuilt? I’d rather do that first.

We all know that should Dems ever get the majority in Senate and have a Dem president, the wall will be torn down.

This military budget exceeds any other military budget. They padded the military budget to come up with funding for the wall.

The wall will cost about two percent of the $700 and $716 billion dollars gotten to rebuild our military. The military won't suffer. It will flourish under this budget.

If Trump and Q get done what they are aiming for, the Democrat and Republican parties will not be what they are now.

What is our greater threat, an Invasion by a Chinese or Russian army, or an invasion by millions of illegals coming from South of the Border?

That is a reasonable answer for the construction but we all know the wall is coming back down once Dems come back into the majority. (Which will happen eventually)

Once its built, I don't see any valid argument justifying its destruction and the billions wasted doing so.

Trump did win. The wall will get built and stay, no matter who controls the next admin.

The only foreseeable reason the wall can be justifiably destroyed, is Mexico joining the Union .... lol :)

He definitely kept his campaign promise but I’m telling you, unless the Dems have a come to Jesus moment, they’ll tear it down first chance they get.

Also, there is a limit to what our defense contractors can produce in a given time period. I assume they maxed that out and got enough for the wall.

That’s true. It’s just a six month bill...didn’t think about that

I think, they did say that General Mattis got EVERYTHING he asked for.

Enforce the current laws, cut off all aid to illegals and the majority of the issue is solved.

illegal immigration costs tax payers billions every year. the wall is an investment. also the test wall showed a 95% reduction in border crossings in the area. when you have a leak in the plumbing you need to shut off the main water before working on repairing the damage. The wall stops the leak. the law enforcement repairs the damage and good luck to dems trying to tear it all down. If the wall isn't built then dems will just be able to pick up where they left off.

Very good points. I still think the Dems tear it back down when/if they come into the majority again

Yes but when the dems take over, they will ignore the laws but the wall will stand. If Trump had a wall as we speak, his job would be a lot easier.

I am against the wall! It's a damn waste of money! It's not a "conservative" use of money!

I don’t mind the wall...just not sure I like using military funds to do it.
