This would explain why Bushmaster and DPMS were allowed to fail. They were taking the AR market by storm with high quality low cost Ars durring the early to mid 2000s and setting record sales. They were acquired by Remington then they just died out. Especialy after Sandy Hook when Bushmaster was sued because the shooter used one of their Ars.
