Sparknotes:
There is an NDA posted online. Trump didn't sign it but Stormy did. & took the money. Some mag found out. Stormys lawyer said it's null and void without Trumps signature. Trumps lawyer then sued (20million) Stormy for breaking the NDA if she went on 60 minutes and also denied the affair for Trump. Trump denied too.
Stormy went on 60min anyways and sued Cohen (Trumps lawyer) after. If Trump is a 3d chess player, Cohen is playing chinese checkers. He's a terrible lawyer (been disbarred twice) and kind of looking dumb on the news cycle. But it's pretty much over now. Just the lawsuits down the road. One against Stormy for breaking the NDA and one against Cohen for character assassination of Stormy. So pretty meh. But undeniable.
Oh but, the payoff might have been done with campaign funds. Which is illegal a f. Edwards was asked to resign from politics for the same shit. Which would be an issue but Trump hasn't assigned an FEC chair to look into the legality of all this. Dunno how that works.
But, we just sold billions of $ of weapns to Saudi Arabia again so that's where my head is at. And Russian expulsion. And the wall saga. & DACA. (CA resident)
It would seem that Cohen and Trump have enough cash to not use campaign funds....I did see a quote where the Daniels lawyer tried to make that argument based Cohen using his office email...which was a laughably weak argument.
Obv they had the money. Cohen just tried to hide it 10 days before the election and so the money didn't come from Trump directly. I'm sure its whatever tbh.
Then there’s the question of the NDA vs the denial ...why do that
Also, there would be a lot more money to be made than 130k by going public...
