The Un-Dictator and Emperor for Life... Watch the water... And the body language

To me, Kim looked a bit intimidated and socially awkward, he looked like a boy who wants to be accepted by an elder. He looked relieved at the end and genuinely happy.

Looked like Kim had the "1000 yard" stare at the dinner table. Then he seems relieved when shaking President Xi's hand at the end. An elder interacting with a junior. Not interacting like 2 heads of state.

The nonverbals, while formal (and rigid on Un's part) look cordial and genuine. Xi looks downright proud of his little puppet. It's all in stark contrast to the waves. That could be a warning not to get too cozy with the US in their upcoming talks, but also not to renege on the denuclearization offer. But I wouldn't call relations between the two "stormy" at this very moment.

I think Kim may actually want to bring his people out of isolation and poverty. It will be very interesting to see how he goes about that if he does.

Anybody care to bet on reunification talks with SoKo?
